摘要: These guidelines from the American Society of Transplantation Infectious Diseases Community Practice update epidemiology and management human papillomavirus (HPV) infections in organ transplant recipients. HPV is one most common sexually transmitted associated with cancers anogenital region. Increasing evidence suggests an association head neck as well. Solid recipients have a higher risk infection than general population. Infection manifests premalignant lesions, warts, or cancer cervix, penis, vulva, scrotum, anal canal. Most are asymptomatic initially, so diagnosis can be difficult without screening. A vaccine available though not effective preventing all cancer-causing strains. Organ should screened for HPV-associated appropriate therapy initiated timely manner. Further studies warranted to delineate screening methods therapeutic modalities, including whether changes immunosuppression attenuating disease.
