摘要: Immune-mediated peripheral neuropathies are more frequent in aged populations. Equally, underlying diseases such as vasculitis and paraproteinemia prevalent the elderly. Accumulating evidence is linking aging process of immune system, immunosenescence, to susceptibility older individuals for paraproteinemic, vasculitic inflammatory demyelinating neuropathies. Why an individual develops a particular disease likely due number factors. These include mutations neural tissue-specific B T cells, decreased central tolerance, increased proinflammatory environment cytokine shifts higher functional capacity innate cells.
