摘要: Abstract The purpose of the present study was to evaluate effect addition titanium on structural, mechanical, and biological properties sol-gel derived 45S5 bioactive glass-ceramic. For synthesis glass ceramics, 5 10 mol% were added replace calcium named as Ti5 Ti10, respectively. structure glass-ceramic characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), energy dispersive (EDS). ability glass-ceramics form hydroxyapatite (HA) also evaluated using XRD, FTIR FE-SEM/EDS following immersion in simulated body fluid (SBF) for 1, 7 14 days. ion release potential during afore-mentioned periods. Furthermore, cell viability alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity osteoblast-like cells exposed dissolved products evaluated. mechanical measuring compressive strength. Despite slower rate HA formation Ti-containing groups first day immersion, all showed similar results after decreased silicon sodium release. highest level ALP activity. strength significantly increased titanium, Ti10 value. In conclusion, findings this support modified 5 mol% ions due improved along with control solubility profile.
