Factors influencing African-American students' enrollment in Texas law schools

摘要: While extensive research has been conducted examining the college choice process of undergraduate students, little empirical on relative factors affecting law school prospective African-American not only in Texas, but also nationwide. By developing a model for students considering legal education, this study will assist researchers and administrators understanding importance these decision-making process. For example, how influential are (1) minority faculty role models mentors; (2) financial aid; (3) assurance employment after graduation; (4) supportive on-campus off-campus organizations; (5) scholarships selection African-Americans? The was designed to survey enrolled Texas schools during 2004-2005 2005-2006 academic years. Of nine located state four private schools, three public one historically Black chose participate.
