摘要: Abstract This paper investigates the potential of siloxane surface modified nano-SiO2 as an admixture capable modifying heat development and microstructure densification Portland cement pastes. Two different types siloxanes were grafted on (nS) particles. Calorimetric measurements pastes with 0.3 w/b ratio show that functional group clearly interferes early age reactions 0.1 or 0.5 by weight functionalized nS. In situ soft X-ray transmission microscope images nS/Ca(OH)2 solutions demonstrate cover nS treatment allowed particles to last longer a calcium hydroxide saturated solution before forming C–S–H. The possible reasons this behavior are discussed, including matrix C–S–H nano-structure filling. results indicate use hybrid improve nanostructure paste matrix.
