摘要: Supernumerary teats (hyperthelia, SNTs) are a common abnormality of the bovine udder with medium to high heritability and postulated oligogenic or polygenic inheritance pattern. SNTs not only negatively affect machine milking ability but also act as reservoir for bacteria. A genome-wide association study was carried out identify genes involved in development dual-purpose Fleckvieh breed. total 2467 progeny-tested bulls were genotyped at 43 698 single nucleotide polymorphisms, daughter yield deviations (DYDs) 'udder clearness' (UC) used high-heritability phenotypes. Massive structuring population accounted by principal components analysis-based mixed model-based approaches. Four loci on BTA5, BTA6, BTA11 BTA17 significantly associated UC DYD. Three regions contain highly conserved Wnt signalling pathway. The four QTL together account 10.7% variance DYD, whereas major fraction DYD is attributable chromosomes no identified QTL. Our results support both an pattern cattle. candidate permit insights into genetic architecture teat malformations cattle provide clues unravel molecular mechanisms mammary gland alterations other species.
