摘要: Introduction Present opinion seems to be that stimuli presented the peripheral retinas are more powerful in eliciting fusion movements than foveas. In an annual review of literature on strabismus, Parks, 1 when discussing investigation by Nauheim, 2 says, "Peripheral is stronger central fusion. That this so was not questioned...." Parks then proceeds discuss hypothesis account for superiority retina. Linksz 3 optics and visual physiology quotes Nauheim's * statement "paramacula targets represent a greater stimulus do targets...." comments, "(Only case author meant 'greater ,' would one, somewhat reluctantly, agree.)" This belief dominance retina has, as its natural consequence, strong influence thought concerning strabismus orthoptic training. Burian 4 "I believe
