摘要: The late Cenozoic (Neogene) history of the Transantarctic Mountains included several episodes when East Antarctic ice sheet overflowed mountains. resulting glaciations caused major topographic changes which became apparent after subsided for last time. Therefore, landscape present has evolved as a result climate during Neogene advance(s) and subsequent retreat(s) set stage most recent geomorphic hydrologic evolution ice-free valleys southern Victoria Land.
