摘要: Utilizing cell preparations that contained greater than 90% eosinophils and sodium azide to inhibit the lysosomal enzyme peroxidase, studies of eosinophil bactericidal activity were undertaken. Eosinophils did not kill bacteria as well neutrophils, principally because a reduced phagocytic capacity. In contrast had high resting iodination but failed increase this following phagocytosis. One millimolar azide, which inhibits both neutrophil peroxidase measured by trichloroacetic acid precipitable protein, impaired staphylocidal activity, enhanced killing Staphylococcus aureus primarily increasing uptake. Bactericidal utilizing lysostaphin suggest exerts its contribution only during early postphagocytic period. Eosinophil is genetically biochemically distinct from appears play no role in intact eosinophils.
