摘要: Novel molecular markers that address the heterogeneity of breast cancer (BC) and provide meaningful prognostic information for BC patients are needed. Kallikrein-related peptidase 6 (KLK6) is aberrantly expressed functionally implicated in and, like other members KLK family, may prove a useful tool clinical management. Our objective was to assess, first time, relevance KLK6 mRNA expression BC. Total RNA isolated from 165 tumors, as well 100 adjacent non-cancerous tumor specimens. After cDNA synthesis, following quality control, quantitative real-time PCR analysis took place. Receiver operating characteristic curves were constructed order assess ability levels differentiate between subtypes. Survival analyses, using DFS endpoint, performed at univariate multivariate levels. Publicly available databases online survival tools used validate our findings. A significant downregulation observed tissue sections compared component (P < 0.001). The positively associated with grade (P = 0.038) overexpressed TNBC HER2-positive tumors Aberrant predicts outcome terms DFS, independently currently (HR = 7.11, 95% CI = 1.19-42.45). differential its association unfavorable validated via silico analyses. Although an independent external cohort necessary confirm findings, we proved time can patients.
