摘要: Abstract Objectives: To assess the psychological impact on women attending a familial ovarian cancer screening clinic. Study Methods: 157 referred for completed an investigator designed questionnaire, Spielberger State Trait Anxiety Scale and Centre Epidemiological Studies Depression prior to interview eight-item questionnaire post-assessment. Results: 95.4% saw as valuable. Thirty-one point four percent of all patients scored about cutoff depression. Sixteen exhibited high levels anxiety. Fifty-six accurately perceived their risk. Twenty-one five those who themselves being at risk had anxiety 40.6% reported significant depressive symptoms. Of 26.5% overestimated risks, 40.0% symptoms 22.6% were anxious. 17.1% minimized risk, none anxious (0.0%), only 15.8% depressed. Conclusion: Attendees clinic may have depression
