摘要: Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb), the causative organism of pulmonary (PTB) now infects more than half world population. The efficient transmission strategy pathogen includes first remaining dormant inside infected host, next undergoing reactivation to cause post-primary lungs (PPTBL) and then transmit via aerosol community. In this review, we are exploring recent findings on role bone marrow (BM) stem cell niche in Mtb dormancy that may underlie mechanisms PPTBL development. We suggest pathogen's interaction with be relevant potential inflammation induced reactivation, which need significant research attention for future development novel preventive therapeutic strategies PPTBL, especially a post COVID-19 pandemic world. Finally, put forward animal models study basis reactivation.
