摘要: This chapter aims to describe significant aspects of the most common nutritional/metabolic diseases caused by insufficient or disbalanced nutrients intake, such as carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, and macro trace minerals, their repercussion in goat metabolism. Goats are opportunistic feeding behavior animals, choosing best both hard environments even feed availability periods. In some conditions, e.g., poor quality forages nutrients, and/or when energy nutrient requirements overpasses intake capacity availability, goats may not keep metabolic homeostasis. Pregnant toxemia, urolithiasis, polioencephalomalacia, selenium vitamin E deficiency major with impact production, reproduction health low- high-producing kids. dairy goats, due higher nutritional demands, increased incidence called “production diseases” is observed. Subacute ruminal acidosis, lactational ketosis, hepatic lipidose, hypocalcemia low milk fat syndrome also problem herds require special attention. Risk factors these disorders should be taken into account management programs. A holistic approach regarding programs herd crucial control prevent farms.
