摘要: Previous studies documented the stability of maize (Zea mays L.) kernel oil concentration for a wide range weights promoted by contrasting post-flowering assimilate availabilities per (i.e., source-sink ratios). These mainly modified sink size with low impact on source size. In this study, we focused response to ratio alterations different timings and intensities shading during effective grain-filling period. Two crosses ('DK752' x DK752 '5MG') were tested. Kernel was positively related embryo-kernel (r = 0.96, P < 0.001) embryo 0.94, differed in both traits. Severe (85% reduction incident solar radiation) at early stages growth reduced final crosses. Contrarily, moderate (45% did not modify determinants. weight declined when severe shortened Our results collectively sustain hypothesis that is commonly sink-limited. We established plant rate less than 50% rate.
