摘要: The Middle Ordovician Peelipilina gen. n. is established as the first known tergomyan mollusc with a low coniform shell and blunt subcentral apex within tryblidiiform muscle scar pattern. two anterior paired scars are connected narrow divergent ridges interpreted radular scars. four pairs of pedal attachments consist elongate approximately normal to apertural mar- gin. small (up 10 mm long), thin-walled, ovoid aperture. only species, P. latiuscu- la (Barrande in Perner, 1903) occurs (Darriwilian) Sarka Formation, Bohemia. represents model tergomyans showing both tryblidiid cyrtonellid features; it is, the- refore, classified separate family Peelipilinidae fam.
