摘要: In manifold ways, the stylistic and performative features evolving genre conventions of nineteenth-century ‘classical’ music reflect increasing grip nationalism on cultural attitudes in Europe. Conversely, could become an important medium for expression dissemination nationalist ideals. A cross-national, European-wide survey this interpenetration between musical ideological developments is applied towards a tentative typological outline ‘musical nationalism’.
