摘要: Survivors of car crashes often suffer from a posttraumatic fear driving, generalized anxiety and depression. Unremitting pains are also common. As part pilot study 30 referred subjects were exposed to imagery driving accidents. Seventy-seven percent phobic driving. Fifty-three responded with increased the imagery. Twelve treatment referrals received exposure therapy six improved markedly. An additional four when Benzodiazepine was added temporarily. Four out eight lost their unremitting along fears. When guided evoked intense this seemed predict favourable outcome. A resumption pleasure trips reliable criterion recovery. The frequency symptomatology it's importance understanding management post-traumatic states is discussed.
