摘要: The primary objective of the study was to evaluate impacts an unconventional left-turn treatment called contraflow lane (CLL) on operational performance movement at signalized intersections. An analytical model developed for estimating capacity intersections with CLL design. calibrated and validated using field data collected six approaches five in city Handan, China. results analyses showed that use design improved movements. However, gains were quite stochastic considering randomness arrivals left-turning vehicles. Analytical delay models proposed vehicles A procedure also optimizing location upstream median opening green interval pre-signal. Simulation conducted compare experienced by through conventional lane, another entitled "tandem design". both tandem designs outperformed design; generated less as compared Language: en
