Inorganic concentrations in selected woods and charcoals measured using NAA.

摘要: Neutron activation analysis was used to determine the levels of several inorganic elements in seven species wood- and laboratory-prepared charcoals. The samples were exposed for 1 min a thermal neutron flux x 10 14 n/cm 2 -sec. Following 10-min decay period, sample activity measured 500 sec. Concentrations Al, Ca, Cl, K, Mg, Mn, Na measured. Ba, Cu, Sr, V also identified samples. Matched southern pine earlywood latewood contained similar amounts inorganics .
