Novel two-layer 4×4 SIW Nolen matrix for multi-beam antenna application in Ku band

摘要: A novel two-layer architecture is proposed for a 4×4 Nolen matrix in SIW technology. The employs newly developed coupler offering independent control of the transmission phase and coupling level. Simulated results show very good agreement between calculated theoretical amplitude output excitation laws with maximum error 0.9 dB 1.6° error, while return isolation losses are below 16 at 12.5 GHz.
