摘要: La incidencia de lesiones neurologicas graves tras la cirugia cardiaca se ha establecido en un 6,1%: 3,1% focales y 3% difusas. Parece que su causa es multifactorial. Se conjeturado ciertos factores preoperatorios, como presencia hipertension, diabetes insulinodependiente, edad avanzada enfermedad cerebrovascular previa, asociarian con aparicion estas lesiones. Sin embargo, tambien relaciona intraoperatorios: el tipo manejo acido- base, flujo sistemico durante circulacion extracorporea (CEC), presion perfusion cerebral, hematocrito CEC, duracion esta, control las glucemias liberacion mediadores inflamatorios. Aunque han utilizado diversos metodos proteccion neurologica ninguno demostrado evitar completamente Habitualmente emplea hipotermia, prevencion del desprendimiento placas ateroma ecocardiografia, microembolismos filtros hemodilucion. ultimamente ensayado farmacos resultados dispares
