摘要: The effects were studied on lung volumes of partial (chronic) nasal obstruction, total overnight occlusion with a pack, and interdental wiring for 6-8 weeks. Total capacity, functional residual volume decreased significantly surgical relief chronic obstruction. All three increased wiring. It is concluded that these are result changes in oronasal resistance: enlarged by an overall increase resistance diminished decrease resistance. These findings imply the to expiration provided nose helps maintain so may indirectly determine arterial oxygenation.
