摘要: The role of anharmonicity on the commensurate (C) phase Kr and Xe monolayers adsorbed graphite is analysed. If usual interatomic interaction parameters are accepted, at low temperature should be in an incommensurate (I) phase. Thermal expansion stabilises temperatures higher than TIC, which energy creating a wall becomes positive. A rough estimate yields TIC approximately=34K. Anharmonicity also explains positive slope experimental chemical potential versus curve C-I transition.
