摘要: Abstract Reducing environmental impacts and getting economic benefits, based on by-product recovery, was the aim of applying ultrafiltration (UF) process for treatment olive processing wastewaters, namely mill wastewater (OMW) table main pollutants oil production industries. Magnetically stirred unit polyethersulfone membrane a molecular weight cut-off 50,000 Da were used. The effectiveness different operating conditions evaluated using rejection coefficients of: chemical oxygen demand, color, total solids phenolic content (TPC). effects pH permeate fluxes OMW depollution evaluated. A substantial reduction aforementioned parameters obtained excluding TPC which intentionally kept as high possible. results show that UF can be used an efficient pretreatment wastewaters at acidic pH. Such may enhance efficiently subsequent extraction compounds from improve any further secondary treatment. Therefore, sustainable cleaner olives achieved.
