摘要: Abstract Systematic studies on chalcogenoborates containing a B12 cluster entity and alkali metal cations led to the new crystalline phases Rb8[B12(BS3)6] Cs8[B12(BS3)6] which consist of icosahedral completely saturated with trigonal-planar BS3 units rubidium (cesium) counter-ions. The were prepared in solid state reactions from sulfide, amorphous boron sulfur evacuated carbon coated silica tubes at temperature 923 K (873 K). From single crystal X-ray analyses lattice parameters both compounds (space group P 1 ) determined be: a=10.085(2) A, b=10.036(2) A, c=10.598(2) A, α=104.74(2)°, β=91.56(2)°, γ=109.08(2)° for a=10.330(2) A, b=10.369(2) c=10.833(2) A, α=103.64(3)°, β=91.91(3)°, γ=109.51(3)° Cs8[B12(BS3)6]. [B12(BS3)6]8− ions structure obey Wade's rules are composed icosahedra six their edges bridged by groups.
