摘要: Vertical Seismic Profiles (VSPs) supply information about both velocity and subsurface interface locations. Properly designed VSPs can be used to map steeply dipping interfaces such as salt dome flanks. Mapping with VSP data requires careful survey design, appropriate processing, interval estimation, reflector mapping. The first of these four ingredients is satisfied in most cases by preacquisition modeling. second accomplished processing. initial estimates are provided seismic tomography. Velocity model refinement a combination iterative modeling least squares inversion. Finally, the resultant velocities depth migration processed VSP. These have been combined flank.
