摘要: A convenient and rapid method for Knoevenagel condensation has been developed by using DABCO-base ionic liquid catalysts. This is applicable to a wide range of aromatic/aliphatic/heterocyclic/α,β-unsaturated aldehydes ketones with active methylene compounds, affords the corresponding substituted electrophilic alkenes in excellent yields (up 100%) water at room temperature within short times. The operationally simple products do not need be purified. use as reaction medium makes process environmentally benign. catalysts can recycled seven times without activity loss.
