摘要: Experimental findings are presented of anin vivo comparison between a Sentron catheter and another tip transducer manometer: Millar microtip catheter. Both catheters have been used simultaneously in the left ventricle dogs. Pressure variations were elicited by drug infusion. values derivatives obtained from both systems compared. A cross correlation episodes two pressures was computed. Results this study showed good ventricular systolic pressure measured with manometers (R=0.992, p<0.0001), end-diastolic (R=0.809, p<0.0001) first derivatives: positive derivative (R=0.993, negative (R=0.634, p<0.0001). The mean signals 0.61±0.04. In frequency domain no statistical difference found location maxima peaks. It is concluded that manometer can be valid alternative, at reasonable price, to cheaper, though less accurate fluid filled more expensive ‘golden standard’
