Method and system for managing power consumption of a network interface module in a wireless computing device

摘要: A power management scheme for use in a wireless device reduces the consumption of network interface module by selectively putting into low-power state an idle time. The length time is calculated such that amount delayed traffic data accumulated expected to be less than or equal pre-selected threshold when put as function modeled using average inter-arrival and service rates are derived from statistics data.
