摘要: Cerebral vasospasm is one of the leading causes morbidity and mortality following aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. It leads to death or permanent neurologic deficits in over 17–40% SAH patients. Risk factors for include thick blood basal cisterns determined by head CT scanning, female gender, smoking, cocaine use, hypovolemia, hyponatremia, hypomagnesemia, increased intracranial pressure systemic inflammatory response syndrome. Factors less robustly linked are a longer duration unconsciousness following initial hemorrhage, history hypertension, excess weight.
