摘要: Individual differences in interoceptive sensitivity are associated with reported intensity of emotional experience, vulnerability to anxiety and mood disorder capacity for self-regulation. Enhanced autonomic state is often accompanied by increased reactivity. Here we tested the hypothesis that healthy people classified as more interoceptively sensitive, their performance a heartbeat monitoring task, will demonstrate enhanced perception pain. We further explored whether this effect greater physiological reactivity pain stimuli. Using an algometer, cutaneous pressure was applied thenar eminence 60 participants. Heart rate variability respiratory activity were recorded concurrently. observed significant relationships between heightened both decreased tolerance These effects pronounced parasympathetic decrease change sympathovagal balance during assessment high, compared low, sensitive group. Our study provides novel evidence experience tolerability conjunction reactive changes balance.
