摘要: The frequency of planetary systems orbiting other solar-type stars is one the most fundamental problems in Astronomy. For example, finding extrasolar planets will improve dramatically our understanding formation and systems, which was based till last decade on sole example solar system. Nevertheless, no extra-solar planet convincingly detected until recently. This so because are very faint relative to their parent stars, with brightness ratios that can get as low 10−8—the luminosity ratio for case Jupiter Sun. With present technology it therefore next impossible image directly any residing inside overpowering glare its star.
