摘要: Acute cholangitis is bacterial infection of the extra-hepatic biliary system. As it caused by gallstones blocking common bile duct in most cases, its prevalence greater ethnicities with high gallstones. Biliary obstruction any cause main predisposing factor. Diagnosis established presence clinical features, laboratory results and imaging studies. The treatment modalities include administration intravenous fluid, antibiotics, drainage duct. outcome good if started early, otherwise could be grave.
