摘要: Introduction: Acute paraquat (PQ) poisoning continues to be a major public health concern in many developing countries. This study was designed evaluate the data on cases of acute PQ and compare different variables between survivors non-survivors. Methods: All patients who were admitted emergency department during past five years retrospectively evaluated. The that compared non-survivors included age gender, time from ingestion hospital admission, amount ingested, occurrence vomiting after ingestion, admission initiation haemodialysis, length stay outcomes. Results: A total 29 in-hospital fatality rate 55.2 percent. No significant differences observed with regard patient characteristics. Most died had ingested more than 40 mg/kg 20 percent (62.5 percent). There correlation outcome (p-value is 0.05; coefficient 0.45) 0.013; 0.56).
