摘要: Abstract Decision makers, planners and actors in cities design policies, plan, invest money build infrastructure, consumers buy houses use transport infrastructure without sound information about the environmental consequences of many those decisions. Decisions, however, that have a lasting impact on sustainable development outcomes. In this study, we employ novel analytical techniques to align spatial characteristics built urban environment with for building materials GHG embodiment inform planning investment decisions at district, suburb city scale. We represent three-dimensional model established from remotely sensed data algorithms identify types their typical material composition. analyse modelled three historical time steps – 1955, 1981 2015 establish consequence embodiment. test new methodology its applicability whole analysis discuss benefit environmentally design.
