摘要: Abstract A pentavalent molybdenum monophosphate Ba3Mo2O2(PO4)2, with a chain like-structure has been synthesized for the first time. It crystallizes in theP1 space group witha= 4.822(1) A,b= 9.189(1) A,c= 17.948(2) A, α = 87.69(1)°, β 88.11(1)°, and γ 78.35(1)°. The structure consists of [Mo2P4O18]∞ribbons built up corner-sharing PO4tetrahedra MoO6octahedra running along a, whose cohesion is ensured by Ba2+cations. Though there exist two kinds ribbons, their geometry very similar they can be considered as practically enanthiomorphic. similarity these ribbons layer structures phosphatesASb(PO4)2and BaMo(PO4)2is emphasized. In chains, have one free apex, whereas exhibit either or apices.
