摘要: Silicon carbide ceramics, SiC, obtained by liquid infiltration have shown excellent properties. In process the contact time of with SiC at elevated temperature is short, decreasing probability to form gaseous products that contribute negatively in final product This phenomenon occurs during phase sintering. The purpose present study was investigate correlation between wettability and tendency some additives compacts. compacts were prepared cold isostatic pressing followed solid pre-sintering. Into introduced Y2O3-AlN, Y2O3-Al2O3, R2O3-AlN liquids eutectic compositions a 10 oC higher than melting point each mixture for 4, 8 12 min. Before infiltration, samples analyzed determining densities, crystalline phases, degree infiltration. better results presented sample Y2O3-AlN mixture.
