摘要: Tryptophan (Trp) is an essential amino acid which, beside its role in protein synthesis, involved a great diversity of biological functions (precursor serotonine, UV filters (Wood and Truscott, 1993)). In the field radical theory aging, Trp considered as possible target oxygen radicals. If occuring, vivo oxidation would not only affect these different but also produce highly reactive toxic species. 3-OH-Kyn (hydroxy-kynurenine) 3-OH-A A (hydroxy-anthranilic acid) have been reported to cataractogenic activity (Truscott Martin, 1989; Tomoda et al., 1990; Truscott 1991; Benavente 1991) vitro by inducing cross-linking, kynurenine derivatives are suspected promote bladder carcinogenesis mice induce metal- mediated damages on DNA (Hiraku 1995).
