摘要: • Since a combination of surgery and adjuvant high-dose doxorubicin therapy can prolong survival in patients with extremity sarcomas, but at the expense significant cardiomyopathic changes, we prospectively studied differences cardiotoxicity 118 sarcomas treated high- vs low-dose following surgery. Cardiac function, as assessed by left ventricular ejection fraction (EF), was determined standard radionuclide angiography during rest exercise. No this study developed congestive heart failure. While both regimens produced net decreases EF exercise, regimen resulted significantly greater declines than protocol. Of normal baseline values, percentage receiving an abnormal did those regimen, even after separating younger from older individuals. Thus, treatment-induced cardiomyopathy appears to be clinical problem therapy. The use magnitude changes. ( Arch Surg 1986;121:1445-1451)
