摘要: Background The possible connection between hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) patients undergoing surgery and higher complications/recurrences has been implied, but inconsistent results reported. Objective To assess the complication recurrence rates for HS to evaluate whether known comorbidities habits (smoking, obesity diabetes) have an effect on rates. Materials methods A systematic review was conducted by 2 reviewers. PubMed Embase were searched using a predefined search string created in collaboration authors librarian January 23, 2019. Results Of 271 references original search, 54 relevant articles identified. This indicates overall mean rate of 24% 20.1% surgery. Conclusion No significant association surgical risk factors complications-or this patient group found. revealed lack quality quantity data studying complications/recurrences. heterogeneity studies limitations, presented complication/recurrence should be interpreted with consequences thereof. It elucidates need better necessity standardized definition postsurgical recurrence.
