摘要: The objective of this paper is to study and report upon the elaboration a selective waste collection program in Brazilian city through action research; overarching goal that all knowledge generated may serve as basis information reference aid decision making for similar programs globally. municipality chosen was Sao Lourenco state Minas Gerais. implementation happened over course multiple improvement learning cycles, enabled many environmental, economic social benefits project’s stakeholders. Eighty-nine tons potentially recycled material were sent recycling processes rather than being disposed landfill. No great difficulties observed use research method, but some challenges encountered overcome during whole process, due lack structure confidence on part population, relation program. choice methodology cycles proved increase overall efficiency, it possible make decisions more quickly, generating better results, enabling replications good correction errors from one cycle next.
