摘要: Abstract Background Different pharmacologic agents are used in the treatment of paraphilic disorders sexual offenders or men with a risk offending, luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) agonists being introduced more recently to regimens. Aim To summarize relevant literature concerning LHRH agonist and update previously published systematic review by Briken et al (J Clin Psychiatry 2003;64:890–897). Methods The PubMed Google Scholar databases were searched for from January 2003 through October 2017 using following key words: agonists, GnRH antiandrogens AND paraphilia, pedophilia, sex offenders. Outcomes Evaluation effectiveness side effects Results After screening duplicates applying specific selection criteria, search yielded 24 eligible studies reporting on sample 256 patients. There is increasing evidence that effective than steroidal lowering thoughts behaviors. Current research also based methods might be less susceptible faking (eg, eye-tracking, brain imaging, viewing-time measures).
