摘要: Patient nonadherence with medical regimens is common in the treatment of many chronic diseases (Turk & Meichenbaum, 1991). For over 165,000 end-stage renal disease patients United States, both pervasive and clinically significant. The goals this chapter are to illustrate scope implications among ESRD patients, as well review empirical literature aimed at identifying determinants nonadherence. will also assertion that adherence can be better understood by considering interaction patient individual differences disease-related factors. Finally, discusses these issues for design implementation related interventions.
