摘要: The sound of one's own name is one the most salient auditory environmental stimuli. Several studies human brain potentials have revealed some characteristic waveforms when we hear our names. In a recent work, investigated event-related (ERPs) in female chimpanzee and demonstrated that ERP pattern generated she heard her differed from other sounds. However, ERPs did not exhibit prominent positive shift around 300 ms (P3) response to name, as has been repeatedly shown ERPs. present study collected comparative data for adult humans using basically same procedure used previous chimpanzee. These results also no P3 subjects' lack increased therefore likely due experimental protocol, which presented subject's relatively frequently. contrast, negativity at 500 200 subjects. This may indicate initial orientation delayed
