摘要: We studied the effect of eye position on light-sensitive, memory, and saccade-related activities neurons lateral intraparietal area 7a in posterior parietal cortex rhesus monkeys. A majority cells showed significant effects position, for each 3 types response. The direction tuning light- sensitive, memory saccade responses did not change with but magnitude response did. Since previous work a similar light-sensitive (Andersen Mountcastle, 1983; Andersen et al., 1985b), present results indicate that this modulating may be general one, as it is found 2 cortical areas. Gain fields were mapped by measuring at 9 different positions neuron. gain usually planar or largely all both areas, indicating varies linearly horizontal vertical position. observation was made previously 1985b). Although sloped directions population cells, field slopes individual similar. It proposed these play an important role making coordinate transformations visually guided movement.
