摘要: Abstract High-resolution (≈ 0.1 eV) Ge 3d and Sn 4d photoelectron spectra of eleven gas-phase molecules (GeH4, GeF4, (CH3)xGeCl4−x (x=0, 2, 3, 4), (CH3)xSnCl4−x 1, 4) (CH3)6Sn2) have been recorded using monochromatized synchrotron radiation. The spectrum GeH4 yields total 3 2 5 linewidths 0.26 eV, very little evidence vibrational structure. However, all other show splitting and/or broadening the d levels which is due to three different effects: direct interaction inner-valence F 2s Cl 3s with core orbitals (e.g. in GeF4 SnCl4); tetrahedral species SnCl4, GeCl4, (CH3)4Sn (CH3)4Ge); ligand field non-tetrahedral (CH3)xMCl4−x) (x= 3,), MGe, Sn).
