摘要: OBJECTIVE To describe the use of a double drape tectonic patch with cyanoacrylate glue technique for treatment deep or penetrating corneal defects in cats and dogs. ANIMALS STUDIED Eight client-owned animals which five were three PROCEDURE cases: Four descemetoceles, perforations, one stromal ulcer treated layer plastic material adhered to cornea (2-octyl 2-octyl, N-butyl)-based tissue adhesive. The was then covered third eyelid flap. RESULTS Seven eight eyes healed uneventfully median time healing 20 days (range 14-28 days). After healing, had loosened removed. One eye cat developed bacterial keratitis an iris prolapse adjacent subsequently enucleated. Only two increased neovascularization. CONCLUSION Treatment is viable option may be faster less expensive alternative other globe sparing surgical options.
