摘要: Regional eco-security assessment is an intricate, challenging task. In previous studies, the integration of eco-environmental models and geographical information systems (GIS) usually takes two approaches: loose coupling tight coupling. However, present study used a full approach to develop GIS-based regional decision support system (ESDSS). This was achieved by merging pressure-state-response (PSR) model analytic hierarchy process (AHP) into ArcGIS 9 as dynamic link library (DLL) using ArcObjects in Visual Basic for Applications. Such makes it easy capitalize on GIS visualization spatial analysis functions, thereby significantly supporting estimation eco-security. A case presented Tibetan Plateau, known world's "third pole" after Arctic Antarctic. Results verified usefulness feasibility developed method. As useful tool, ESDSS can also help local managers make scientifically-based effective decisions about protection land use. (C) 2010 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
