Quantum criticality and Lifshitz transition in the Ising system CeRu2Si2: Comparison with YbRh2Si2

摘要: New thermoelectric power (TEP) measurements on prototype heavy-fermion compounds close to magnetic quantum criticality are presented. The highly sensitive technique of TEP is an unique tool reveal Fermi surface instabilities, referred here as Lifshitz transitions. first focus the Ising CeRu2Si2 series. Doping with Rh produces a decoupling between order metamagnetic transition and pseudo-metamagnetism observed in pure compound. Comparison made case YbRh2Si2 which often considered archetype local by contrast CeRu2Si2, taken example spin-density wave criticality. Up now for ferromagnetic materials showing wings, no simple appears where preserved paramagnetic phases. An open issue consequence transitions superconductivity these multiband systems.
