摘要: This paper investigates the construction of age-related standards for ordinal outcome data. Asymmetric logistic models are used to describe changes in cumulative probabilities each level. Maximum likelihood estimation model parameters allows use ratio tests ascertain appropriate complexity. In contrast methodologies constructing where is continuous, we show how methodology leads directly centile individuals. The method illustrated using visual acuity measurements collected from 2968 children between 2 and 9 years age made on a 30-point scale. We how, this instance, smoothing across categories reduced validity centiles, justifying need specialized non-continuous outcomes.
